money, and dumps him on the side of the road. He is found by the Rothwell family, owners of Blue Gate Estate.
At Blue Gate he gets well but becomes attracted to Jane Rothwell and his conflict with the drug cartel mobsters continue. He attacks them back, with fist,
gun, and fortitude. An unexpected surprise awaits once action is taken to suppress cartel activity.
About the Author
John Davis grew up in Walhalla, South Carolina. He graduated from Wake Forest College and later served in the Navy as a pilot. In 1957 he joined Southern Bell Telephone Company and spent the next thirty-four years serving in management positions. He and his wife, Faye, have two sons and five grandsons and now live in Pendleton, South Carolina. Painting watercolor pictures is John’s favorite past time along with writing. He has been a member of the South Carolina Watercolor Society since it was first organized. John wrote Trouble at Blue Gate over a period of twenty years. He says he has lived the story in his mind thousands of times.
