About the Author
Grady Lee was born into the Lee family in 1933 just north of Red River. His Dad, (a tenant farmer) mother, and two siblings made up the family. We all weathered the dust storms of the 1930s and the Great Depression. Before long three more siblings joined the family. Graduating from high school in 1950 he chose to attend a small Bible Institute in Ardmore Oklahoma, and graduated in 1953 with a Bachelor of Theology. Two years later while attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma, he met and Married his wife of now fifty-seven years. After Graduating in 1956, Grady took a position in a small rural school where he taught Economics, History, government and coached basket ball and base ball. In May of 1957 the family, now there were three, moved to Denver, Colorado to work with a small church where it became necessary to substitute teach to supplement his salary. In 1960 he started a new church and accepted a position of full time teaching in Denver Public School. In 1966 he resigned his church, took a sabbatical from teaching and returned to Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he was pastor of Bible Baptist Church and graduated from the university with a Masters Degree. He then returned to Denver Public Schools in the fall of 1967 and continued until retirement in 1988. Many opportunities presented themselves the following years including Fulbright Scholarships to India 1978 and again in 1983. Beginning in 1978 and years since, Grady has helped start and financially support, a young minister in India to start a church, a Christian school, orphanage, and a Bible College. Since 1950 he personally started three churches, helped start several more and rescued eight from dissolving. Grady and his wife have two wonderful daughters, two great sons, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. . Their goal is to help carry on the great service to God and Country, begun in America by their Lee family and forefathers in 1640.
