About the Author

Jamare Harris' love for writing began at the age of ten. She won the "most inspiring student" award for an essay that she wrote about her grandmother. This love developed into a passion for writing stories for children when she became a preschool teacher at the age of twenty two. Jamare's students have inspired her and her stories alike. Jamare Harris resides in Long Beach, California with her family. Harmonie Keene hails from the small, but beautiful, San Juan Islands in Washington State and has been creating art since she could first hold a pencil. She now calls Southern California home, her accomplishments include several large-scale murals and range from pencil, charcoal and ink to watercolor and acrylics. While a few of her pieces have been featured in small art showings throughout her life, "Something Bigger Than Me" is her first published work.
