About the Book

The war is over, we proclaim. We honor lives lost and celebrate the heroes who return. Yet the battles are far from over. As soldiers have returned from war over the years, many continue to fight the demons that came home with them. Mike Bush, a veteran of the Vietnam War, invites us on his journey into hell and back. God has protected and provided for him for forty-three years, but the war in his heart is far from over. Join him on his healing journey as he shares his story and insights into how we can better protect the ones who give everything to protect us.

About the Author

Mike Bush Mike grew up in Pekin, IL and continues to live there now. He worked for a local corporation, Caterpillar, for 31 years. He served in the Vietnam War from December 1969 to November 1970. He is a member at First United Methodist Church in Pekin. His family includes his children, Dan, Katie, and Angela, and grandchildren, Dalton, Marissa, Karmen, and Drake. Heather Robertson Heather also grew up in Pekin, IL and is a member at the First United Methodist Church in Pekin. She serves there as the education and youth director. She is also a motivational speaker, teaching others to fly through life by discovering their innate greatness and what it means for their life. She enjoys spending time with her husband Josh and wonderful son Ryder.
