About the Book

Hammer MC is the director at a construction site. However it’s not a normal building project where trucks, cement, wood, and workers wearing hardhats are busily employed. But this is a project that builds character through poems. Each poem is filled with a lesson of virtue designed to last a lifetime. The author has carefully compiled illustrations that are consistent with each poem to give a more profound impact. Author poet Humphrey gives us a definitive approach to instilling virtues early in the hearts of children to promote productive adults.

About the Author

Gloria P. Humphrey, a South Florida native, is the author of "Patrice Grows A. Garden," illustrated by her son, Michael Humphrey Jr., and a memoir entitled "I Come." In this hardhat project, she is on the construction site building character along with Hammer Mc as the director. With a combined effort through poetry and illustrations to give it its finishing edge, they hammer down life-lasting virtues.
