About the Author

I was born Paul Robert Holder at home in Kensington London very close to the Natural History Museum on the 3.6.1966. Funny how later I would have a keen interest in collecting fossils. My mother Betty Holder was with my father Colin Holder in a short term marriage, he was a script writer. My mother remarried and I took on the name of Phillips. I have three brothers Christopher, Peter and Keith. At the age of six I had a heart operation for a faulty valve at Harefield Hospital performed by the famous Egyptian surgeon Sir Magdi Yacoub. We moved to Northolt West London after a few short term addresses and lived there for some 40 years. In that time I went to two boarding schools one was in Seaford on the south coast of England and then to red house school in Tadworth in Surrey. My mother divorced and as a single parent brought us up. Leaving school in 1982 with a few CSE,s I took on a number of jobs my main vocation is gardening and still is! I married on 29 september 2012 to the then Debra Louise Addison and we live in Surrey South East England , I now have two step children Chloe, Rory and a granddaughter Annabel. The future is still to be written.
