About the Book

This is a true story about a dog called Cindy, a very intelligent and loyal black Labrador who saved the life twice of the youngest member of a family living in a small village on the South Coast of England. Not only did Cindy save this young boys life twice, but she also very nearly caused his death whilst playing with him. The author of this story was in fact that child.

About the Author

The author, using the pen name of Barry Wilde, was born in England in a little village called Rustington on the South Coast. Barry now enjoys a quiet retired life with his wife in Mandurah, Western Australia, having emigrated from England in 1974 and adopting Australian nationality in 1978. The couple has two children and three grandchildren and a constant Kelpie companion called Rocky. Barry’s love of dogs and writing has always been in his blood, and the opportunity to finally write about Cindy has been a driving force since retiring.
