Far too long women have been the proverbial question mark when it came to ministry and how far they can go in it. I had the calling from God for at least ten years before I accepted it. Reason being, I had seen the way women were disrespected by male pastors/ministers, not recognizing there capabilities, and even not "permitting" women in "their" pulpit. No thank you, to a thankless job. However, a few things have changed today in some areas, but a lot has not changed at all in others. In my over thirty years in ministry, I finally realized something. Women, all roads to kingdom building do NOT lead to the pulpit!! WOMEN, read my book and get a head start on finding what God has called YOU to do. Stop guessing! MEN, read my book and get a new insight about women's role in kingdom building. About the Author

Originally hailing from Houston, Texas, Dr. Evelyn J. Reason has been featured singing and acting since the tender age of six years, performing in the church and school arenas with ease. Relocating to Southern California was just the beginning of her skyrocketed career. An anointed woman of God, Ms. Reason has provided lead and background vocals for many recording artists. She has performed live and/or recorded with Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Shirley Caesar, Albertina Walker, Walter Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins, Yolanda Adams, Daryl Coley, Kurt Carr, Beverly Crawford, Norman Hutchins, Billy Preston, Dr. Bobby Jones, and many, many more. Ms. Reason recorded and toured with the late Rev. James Cleveland for more than twelve years, as a member of The Los Angeles Gospel Messengers, and the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA), where she is currently Section Leader for it’s more than 1,200-voice National Mass Choir. She was a member of The Legendary Clara Ward Singers for several years, and is a member of 35 years with Rev. Alexander Hamilton & The Voices of Inspiration and The Los Angeles Chapter of G.M.W.A. Founder of her own group, “Reasons To Sing”, she has served as choir director for many churches in the Southern California area. Dr. Reason is now on the Advisory Board of Next Dimension University, and is also on the teaching staff of the same. She currently maintains a full-time job with the State of California, having retired from two other jobs, one in banking and the other in post-secondary education. She is a licensed Cosmetologist and Certified Financial Aid Director in the State of California. Dr. Reason’s motto is: “I’m living my life now, in order to live again.. for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
