About the Book

"I'm Not a Bear" was written about a little dog of mine, Teddy, who is part Pekinese and part Chihuahua. He is one of the most playful dogs you could ever meet. He never runs out of energy. His playfulness is what prompted this story, because you never know what to expect from him! He makes me laugh with his antics, and I hope children will love him as much as I do.

I am a huge animal lover. When I was a little girl, I wanted to become a veterinarian. That didn't happen, but how I felt about animals never changed.
