During the span of twenty-three years, over 1,400 historical nonfiction articles written by James J. Buckley were published in newspapers and magazines in eastern Massachusetts. He has also written a number of short stories, but “And They Had Secrets” is his first venture into book-length fiction. James J. Buckley holds a doctorate from Harvard. His career was spent in the field of public school education.
