About the Book

Fear and distress are the results of bullying for anyone, but for children, if school is where it happens; it becomes a dreaded place to go. Kyle is in the fourth grade, and every day, he must face going to school not knowing what’s going to happen to him. What can he do? If he tells on Robert, he fears it will get worse! See how Kyle gets answers and develops a plan to combat the problem not only for himself; but, for others who are being bullied as well. Kyle also learns through prayer, that God cares about everything that happens in our lives.

About the Author

Joanie Miller is a published author of the children’s book, “Help, Lord! I Need a Bandage on My Heart.,” the first in a series for children dealing with life’s difficult situations that they may have to face. The first book was about parents divorcing. Joanie currently writes for an online Christian women’s magazine: “Jewels Magazine” at: www.jewelsmagazine.org. She has always loved writing, and a lot of her ideas developed out of her personal journaling. Joanie has published poetry in “The Best Poems and Poets of 2005”, as well as “A Surrender to the Moon”, both by the International Library of Poetry. She was awarded the Honorable Mention in the 76th Annual Writers Digest Magazine writing contest, with her writing of “Homeless Angels”. She also compiled and wrote: “Scriptural Dancing”, an exhaustive Biblical study on dance in the scriptures; which she has taught in several churches over the years. A mother of four grown children, and 7 grandchildren; Joanie has always had a heart for children and the hard things they go through in life. Issues such as divorce, bullying, moving away, family splitting apart, ongoing illness, and death, etc, are so difficult for children. Her hope is that her children’s series will make a positive difference in children’s lives and bring them hope through the hard times.
