About the Author

Janet Rosario, better known as Jeannie, was born on December 1 in Chicago, Illinois, by Puerto Rican parents, Blanca Iris Mercado (from Lares, Puerto Rico) and Don Bolivar Rosario (from Cidra, Puerto Rico). She never reveals her age. So it is useless to ask her ’cause you’ll always receive different numbers. At eleven years old, her mother moved her to Camuy, Puerto Rico, where she lived until she made the mistake of getting married twice and ended up living in Levittown Toabaja, Puerto Rico. She has been writing poems and songs since she was twelve years old, and her songs have been sung by local celebrities: “I Believe in You” (dedicated to her ex-husband Ezequiel Cabán Santiago) was sung by Walter (from Isabela, Puerto Rico) and “God Bless U Samantha” was sung by the famous Puerto Rican international singer José Nogueras. That was such an honor for her. She went to ICPR Junior College, where he studied computer science but never finished because she went to the army, from where she was “discharged” because she got pregnant. She moved to Lake Wale, Florida, and returned to school. This time, she chose to be a paralegal and notary but gave up early because of the illness of her son, Bryanlee, who was suffering from hydrocephaly, autism, and epilepsy; it forced her to return to their island. Finally, she graduated in 2007 from massage therapy and opened her own businesses, a spa called Rincon Terapeutico and a small factory of meat cakes and sauces called Products La Camuyana. She opened her small businesses from her home with pride and with the help of her husband, Ezeqiel. She has several patent-pending inventions. In 2013 she divorced for a second time and moved back to Lake Wales, where she married Jose Julio Arriaga. As they say over there, “The third time’s a charm.” She found love again with her old flame. Her childhood was not easy because she lived situations that are not even desired for the worst enemy and nor were her relationships with her husbands peaches and cream. But all that helped to inspire her Sarcastic Poetry. She shouldn’t be accused of being a bad person, much less be called cynical or sarcastic because this book was made for entertainment purposes. We emphasize again that this book was not made to hurt or offend anyone. Janet is a very sweet person and is known to be very independent and creative. She is hardworking and very sentimental. She is very dedicated to her children, family, work, home, and husband, especially very dedicated and determined to finally make her dreams come true.
