A graduate of Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Van Bergen draws inspiration from urban landscapes around the world. A lover of history and people , Van Bergen seeks to express her experiences through paint and drawing , favoring lithography and oil painting. "An Alter of Change" is a series of works by the artist that records the construction of a modern day monument , the Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco, envisioned as the "Grand Central Station of the West".
