About the Book
Throughout the centuries, the early Christians have kept the honorable custom of including a short prayer before sitting down to their daily meals. Now my role is to spoon-feed you with the verses from the Bible. I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to gather these scriptural passages, so I am confident that the Holy Spirit will inspire you too, especially when you read them from the heart. As I have mentioned earlier, the Word of God doesn’t have an expiration. So this book can be kept and can be continuously read throughout the years. The power of repetition makes us powerful too in our practice of being Christians; hence, the Word and deed would empower our Christian ways. Let’s bring back the old ways—the old tradition of saying grace through biblical passage.
About the Author
Estrella “aka” Esther B. Jimenez, is originally from Manila, Philippines, a nurse by profession, now a retiree, a US Citizen and presently resides in the State of Illinois. Her being a retiree brought her to do a lot of reading, writing and painting rock stones and on canvasses. She is a member of Author’s Marketing Group here in Illinois. She received the Editor’s Choice Award in August, 2004 and January, 2008 by International Society of Poets. The Books she has written are the following: 1) Bible Tidbits 2) What’s In My Heart? Vol. I 3) What’s In My Heart? Vol. II 4) 202 Turtle Haiku 5) Have Phun With Elefants 6) Deep Inner Thoughts 7) 365 Days Food For Thoughts (For Revision) She is working on a manuscript “How To Do Rock Painting?” She is also working on a Tagalog (Filipino language) Haiku, with the working title as, “Hay Naku Haiku”. And probably it is worth to mention her other project as the “Spoken Words” in Tagalog. Esther loves pets and animals as evidenced by having adorable, beautiful, orange- bellied turtles. One of them named “PONG” was trained by Esther to dance and to walk with her on the carpeted floor at home. Pong likes to communicate with people and he is not aloof, compared to the other turtles. One of Esther’s books is about him. Sad to say PONG passed away a year ago. Esther is a member of Chicago Turtle Club. Whatever Esther does, she prays for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and always relies on His power. For her, the Holy Spirit is her Spiritual Director.
