About the Author
Born of humble circumstances, the life of Edward Woerz is a fascinating story of a boy who vowed to make a difference. Growing up in the glitter of Hollywood in the 1930s, Edward saw “old Hollywood” as it truly was. When World War II started, he stepped forward and served for three years in the U.S. Navy. Through the blood and fire of combat, and brush with death from Typhoon Cobra (the deadliest typhoon in U.S. Naval history), he lived to tell the tale. Determined after the war to better himself, he worked himself through medical school and became a world class General Surgeon. Along the way he married, raised a family, and in every way enjoyed the blessings of liberty that he and his friends so nobly fought for. A truly inspiring story!
