About the Book

Do you love the connection or the competition? Christine Ferrari is a kindergarten teacher who resides in Chicago, Illinois. Terrell Bryant is a bartender who works late nights at a popular nightclub in Los Angeles, California, and Jason Jacobs is the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world of boxing while approaching the end of his storied career. The three have separate lives, but the one thing they have in common is that they are in a failing relationship—Christine’s due to abuse, Terrell’s due to curiosity, and Jason’s due to his ego and tragedy. Three worlds collide after Jason’s public divorce from reality star wife and his retirement from boxing. In order to stay relevant in entertainment and continue to build upon his wealth, he accepts an opportunity to host a reality dating show called In Love with the Chimera, which twenty-five women across the county will compete for his love in a series of challenges and daily activities. Christine becomes a contestant against her own will but quickly discovers that she is at the top of the competition. Terrell is offered the lucrative opportunity to work as part of the reality show, but the opportunity becomes a nightmare when his past comes back to haunt him. Meanwhile, Jason Jacobs puts on a show for his girls and the cameras; but hidden deep in the basement of his mansion, away from the world of fame and media, is an extension of all the pain he suffered from his tragic loss. In Love with the Chimera is an experience full of love and hate, which it will be discovered as to who in love, who is lying, who is the greatest of all time, and who is the snake.

About the Author

My name is Paul-Wesley Bailey Jr, I am currently enrolled in college full-time. My first recollection of tapping into my imagination was watching Barney and the Dinosaurs as a kid, playing with action figures, Super Mario, and Sonic the Hedgehog. I began writing creativity about 10 years ago, buying a composition book from my job, and creating characters and plots while at work. In my early elementary school years, I would stutter in front of the class, reading out loud, I took speech classes, and at home I had to use Hooked on Phonics. I never thought I would be a published author today, but creative writing has become the most effective way I have found to express myself, and my ideas. Through my own writings, I have learned that I was filled with flaws, beginning with immaturity, but I will live in prosperity, along with my loved ones as long as I strive for the best version of me. In Love with the Chimera is a story that places the reader in three separate relationships, in which all are failing. When the main characters meet, it will be up to the reader to determine, who is lying, who is the snake, and in show business, does it really matter who is the G.O.A.T?
