About the Book

Lincoln is a friendly eight-year-old who wants to fit in with all the other kids; however, he is tiny for his age, and the only friend he has is his dog, Max. The book is all about Lincoln’s struggles to fit in with the other kids. By the end of the summer, he finds his talent and a great lesson. He learns that not everyone is an athlete or even creative, but everyone does have a special talent.

About the Author: Lin Troyer My greatest role is a Grandmother of six, Max, Emily, Simon, Lincoln, Cade and Addison. I have watched my own children struggle with fitting in, thus came my story. I wrote this story a long time ago when my first Grandson Max was born. I love to read to my grandchildren and watch the joy they receive from books. I have a passion for good children stories that have a meaning or a lesson. I decided to tell my story to other children then just my own. It is my hope that all children will come to know that they have a Special place in this world. Just like my illustrator’s, Rustin Swartzentruber, who created Lincoln and Sara Rabensteine who brought him to life! Everyone has a GIFT!!
