About the Author

A graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, Gil Francisco Suarez pursued his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Kansas Wesleyan University and Wichita State University respectively. Gil continued postgraduate studies at both New York University and Columbia University’s Teacher’s College. Other works include The Tales of the Kanterberry Kids, Buford's Mailbox: Sketches of 1968, and Behind Success: A Memoir from the School of Hard Knocks.
