About the Book

Katie is a little girl growing up in the ’60s. Katie is quiet, shy, and loves what life brings each day, such as the Candy Train. She waits on the Candy Train every week, and finds joy when she sees the Candy Train coming down the railroad tracks.

About the Author

About the Author Brenda Harrison is a native of Fordyce, Arkansas. She graduated from Fordyce High School and attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Ms. Harrison received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education, middle school English, with a minor in special education. She later received her master’s degree in education specializing in special education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Ms. Harrison currently teaches special education and adult education in Little Rock School District.
