Who am I? I, Franklin Donny D. Lewis, was born in Los Angeles in 1954. I was raised along with my two brothers and two sisters as far back as I can remember.
At the age of twelve is when I found out that being a Black male, I would have to overcome many obstacles.
In 1966 my mother moved us to Pomona, California. That is where I had my first encounter with racism. But I fought back, and today I am still fighting.
All my adult life, I have worked with youth in public schools, the LA Probation Department, and many group homes. I guess this is my way of serving God, and by serving God, I am serving mankind.
