Mike decided to try to go a little further, but he only went a few hundred yards to a small wooden footbridge, then stopped again. He was about to make his way to the theater to get ready for the night's performance when something caught his attention in the bushes nearby. When he moved closer, a slender woman with a pale complexion, long black hair, and a dark blue jumpsuit stood up and glared at Mike. She sprang forward like a cat, knocking Mike to the ground, and bit him on the neck. He threw her off and hollered as he stood up, "Are you nuts, lady? Why did you do that?" When he turned to walk away, his knees suddenly buckled, and his vision blurred; when he took another step or two, he collapsed on the ground unconscious.

About the Book
This book is a collection of space heroes that started as an ordinary man trying to get through the day. But something happens in their lives that changes their destiny from being just a face in the crowd to saving their world.
About the Author
I was born in a small house in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1947 and moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut as a small boy. I met Lauren, the love of my life in1985 and were married years later and moved to Bristol, Connecticut. One night, I had a vivid dream that caught my attention, that spurred me to write it down, and sent it to my sister T. Jene Brideau, for an interpretation who also is a writer. She wrote and told me that the story was good. I took her encouragement and my imagination went to work. That’s when I discovered my God-given talent to write great space adventures stories. From then on, I have written over fifty stories of which only seven of them have been published with great reviews.
