Prayer of Enlightenment Dear Father, where I go, let it be That Your light through Jesus Christ will shine through me To show those in darkness that they can be transformed and brought into Your marvelous light and be set free in Thee, Knowing through this Savior of mine, Jesus Christ, that they, too, can abide in You, like me. As I walk forth this day, Let it not be too late for someone to see Your glory shining through me. Shine through me, O Lord, this I pray, to bring others Your way. Lord, it is a privilege to serve You in this humbling way. Make their paths straight and sure, Without slippery slopes or crooked turns that are neither safe nor sure, As to You they make their way, being not deterred from the path so narrow, yet sure. Let them keep their eyes on You, not being self-reliant, but following in Your footsteps, which are steady and sure, To that resurrection incline, Assured of Your promise of salvation and to be encouraged not to decline. I ask of You to send a heavenly host to guide them to realize the meaning of the Cross, which is a wonder and a sign Leading to a life of everlasting—refined. Amen. Reference: John 3:15–18
