About the Book
Seventeen is the story of Theresa Williams whose dad was diagnosed with cancer. The family had no idea how much time he still had left as their mother, Bertha, didn’t want to ask the doctor this painful question. She assured her four grown-up children that she would let them know in time when to come home and spend some time with their dad before he got too sick. But who holds the key to Deaths heavy door? How accurate and advance is the medical profession to know the exact time of death? Who unlocks the door and steals away our loved ones, leading them through a secret pathway far away from us? Theresa shares her experience as she recalls her conversations with her dad prior to his death and relived flashbacks of her own life. Seventeen months after her dad’s death she visited her grieving mother again and together they support each other to say their final goodbyes and move on.
