About the Book
The world's population is growing and more water will be needed. But water is a finite resource and most water on earth is salt water which people cannot readily use. Less than 5% of the water on earth is fresh water and less than 1% is accessible to people. The book presented as a discussion for middle school students calls for innovative ways to sustain a continuous supply of good quality water by reducing, reusing and recycling water, exploring cost effective and efficient ways to desalinate sea water, and educating the public to conserve water.
