“I now pronounce you as husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.” Sam stared at her new husband’s lips in horror, but there was no going back now; she must kiss him. Her heart beat so fast, and her palms started to sweat. She would have bolted out the door if she hadn’t remembered why she agreed to do this in the first place. Luke, her new husband, lifted her veil and looked deeply into her eyes, asking for permission if he could kiss her. Sam started to accept that this was not a dream, that she was married to her best friend, Luke Russo, for money.

About the Author

Sherly was born in Indonesia and migrated to Australia in 1999. She always loves to write ever since she was young but is too shy to show her works to anyone. She used the back side of her study note to write her stories and hide them from her friends and family. She was struggling with her very limited experience and lack of support. She finally buried her passion to become an author for more than twenty years until one day she convinced herself to start writing again and this time in English. She finished her first novel in a month and didn’t stop writing since then. She loves romance and fairy tales, and she doesn’t believe in sad endings. Sherly now lives in Sydney as a photographer with her husband and two beagles. She never stops thanking herself for taking the first step: picked up her laptop and typed the first word.
