About the Book
Cully is a four year old boy who plays with his grandmother’s crystal bird because he is fascinated with the rainbows it casts onto the wall. He accidently breaks off its wing and feels guilty. He then experiences a range of emotions before apologising to his grandmother and being forgiven by her because he accepted responsibility for the accident. There are suggestions for educators to guide the child through Cully’s experience and identify themselves in similar situations so they can learn to identify, take responsibility and resolve their emotions.
