About the Book

In this book, young children will develop and understanding and be more appreciative to the importance of grandparents in their ongoing formative years. The young listener will develop the ability to imagine, experience, explore and understand the many uses of day to day modern technology. Computers (internet, skype, mobiles, cameras, telephones, aeroplanes are all forms of technology which contribute to social interaction. Social interaction enhances young children’s communication skills.

The young listener will learn and develop a clearer understanding of a special value which is LOVE. Through love, grandparents unconditionally do not measure time, travel, distance or countries to see their loved ones again. Modern technology makes this possible and young children’s concept is further enhanced relating to time, travel, distance and countries. In this book, children will learn the meaning and importance of relationships, social interaction, sense of belonging and nurturing relating to their well being with their grandparents through modern technology.

About the Author

Sharon Crick is a qualified registered early childhood educator. She was inspired to write “Nani Sha” (the name her grandchildren call her) through her own personal experience with her own adorable grandchildren who are still in their early formative years. She recognized the learning and development that took place during the months of using modern technology to communicate with her grandchildren. Unconditional love led her to fly overseas and spend a special time with them. She continues to write educational, fun and interesting stories for young children and sees her stories as positive learning outcomes where children’s learning and development are enhanced.
