Summary of the Book: An inspiring book written around the real story of a common Saudi Arabian citizen who pursued and accomplished a dream to participate in the famous Survivor Show. Besides explaining the power of desire that helped him overcome the many difficult obstacles he faced on his journey towards the dream, the book also describes the thrilling details of the 40-day adventure on the remote island leading to the author’s ultimate accomplishment of winning the entire challenge and becoming; “Survivor of the Middle East”, for being the last person standing on the island. The book highlights behind the scenes stories of the Survivor experience. About the Author
Hussain Adlan Al-Abbas is a Saudi Arabian Citizen who grew up in a little poor town, Najran, located in the far south of Saudi Arabia. He has a Bachelor Degree in Spatial Information Engineering from the University of Maine (USA) and a Masters Degree in Geodetic Science from the Ohio State University (USA). He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is currently working in the largest oil company of the world, Saudi Aramco. Hussain is the winner of the Survivor Experience, Middle East version, which was aired to vast Middle East viewers on the LBC TV channel in 2005. He won the grand prize of $100,000 and is the current holder of the title “Survivor of the Middle East”. Besides winning Survivor Show, Hussain also participated and won the grand prize ($ 250,000) of another famous TV show, “Deal or No Deal”. Also, Hussain recently played the role of the presenter for another adventure-reality TV show called “Eish-Sahari” translated to “Living the Dessert”) on the Saudi Arabian main Television station; the show consisted of 30 episodes. Also, Hussain is a well know toastmaster champion in Saudi Arabia, where he won the international speech contest for his region for two years, 2009 and 2011. One of the two winning speeches was about his experience on Survivor.
