About the Book

You’d have to be mad to play golf every day for a month – alongside the busiest motorway in Britain – but that’s what Trevor Sandford did in August 2011. When an “ordinary club golfer” took on the challenge for charity, every day brought on a new adventure. This book tells the tale of the Golf Against Cancer tour – with all the blisters, the blog and the banter. Some of these stories you could not make up; this is genuine feel-good non-fiction. “a brilliant and funny account of a fantastic achievement” The Social Golfer

About the Author

An Ulsterman living in Kent, a former professional musician, teacher, school inspector and government adviser, this Cambridge physicist plays golf for the challenge and the camaraderie. He writes songs, music and poetry, and has penned physics textbooks, Ofsted reports and policy proposals, but this is his first foray into the field of non-fiction. Prompted by his experiences during one unbelievable month in 2011 and encouraged by the reception of his daily Golf Against Cancer blog, Trevor tells the story of the tour in the book of the same name. A Month of Madness on the M25 could be the first of many such epic adventures. What will he get up to next year?
