About the Author

Vernon Grosvenor was ordained to the priesthood in the Anglican Province of the West Indies in the Diocese of Guyana in 1997. He served in that Diocese as a curate for seven years. He was also a lecturer in Epidemiology and Medical Ethics at the University of Guyana from 1996 to 2003. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and has conducted research on health issues such as malaria. He is presently serving as an Adjunct Professor in Biology in two colleges in Florida in the United States.
