Finally she fi nds the self she had sought all her life with at times little prospect of fi nding. Yet there it was so near and yet, for most her life, so distant.

About the Author

Born in Leeds in the County of Yorkshire in February 1937, her early childhood as male was spent during the austere days of the Second World War. From 1950 until 1955 she was educated at the Leeds Central High School. After National Service with the RAF she was employed for eleven years with a fi rm of Estate Agents before moving to a long career in Town Planning with Leeds City Council. It was during this time that she transitioned from Male to Female. Faye has now retired and lives in the lovely village of St Neot in Cornwall.
