About the Book

Warning:  This book is not for the immature or the squeamish!  It definitely fits the violent, sexy, crime-mystery-romance category.  As the story unfolds, the protagonists, Mark Pelletier and Rita Margosa, are confronted with macabre situations, distressing problems, and momentous decisions.  The reader, however, can take comfort in the assurance that “all’s well that ends well,” and the good guys anticipate a happy future.

In the course of the story action, the protagonists eventually unite their efforts and work together investigating and ultimately solving a sadistic crime that they had encountered separately.

Basking then in the heat of torrid passion and the sunlight of their developing mutual true affection, they contemplate a blissful future together.  They have no reason to suspect that a lurking storm of agonizing trauma will overwhelm them¾that they must again suffer and survive an ordeal involving cruel separation and severe physical and emotional suffering, either instigated or inflicted by a conscienceless maniac.

The following excerpts are provided to enable prospective readers to sample (and savor!) incidents typical of the individual lifestyles and interest of the indubitably male and lusciously female protagonists.

About the Author

Raymond Joseph Prost’s varied career has included stints as a sales representative, factory worker, entrepreneur, small business owner, and magazine editor. But regardless of how the bills were being paid, writing remained his passion. A native Chicagoan, he has published nonfiction, short stories, and poetry and has patented two inventions. He has traveled widely in the U.S., but perhaps his favorite locale is Osterhout Lake in Allegan County, Michigan where he spent many happy times as the eldest boy in a family of six children and where he later brought his own family. He and his beloved wife Anne Marie now live in southern Florida.
