About the Book
In the 1980s the Soviet Politburo ordered the KGB to foment a revolution in a small oil-rich state on the Persian Gulf. They send their top expert in insurgency to direct the rebellion. Department 124, the supersecret agency the U.S. Government uses to do the dirty work in the back alleys of the world, sends Bill Brooks to the Emirate to thwart the Soviets. Brooks works with the Crown prince and his ragtag army and police force, but time is short and the arms caravan supplying the rebels is coming. Brooks, under cover as a security officer of the American oil company in the Emirate, grows desperate. The revolution begins, and Brooks has only an outmanned and outgunned force to lead. Treachery, heroism, and friendship dominate this fast-paced and violent story. There is romance, too, between Brooks and a beautiful blonde who works for the oil company.
