About the Book

Chronicle of an adoption is exactly that.  It is a story from the moment adoption was considered, through the final success of legalization.  Many people shared their own stories while the book was being written.  Some of the stories are intertwined within the book.

This is the story of how a man and wife went about becoming parents of a 19-month-old.  While this was going on, two friends of theirs’ were going through battles of their own.  Their story is also told throughout this book.  One family had their success through in-vitro fertilization, and one had their success through foreign adoption.  Not every story told is a success.  Due to the highly emotional events that are at stake, some walk away from the process.  It is a frustrating process, and all to easy to walk away from.

You will be surprised to see how the system can work, and how it can frustrate.  It only works if you make it.  There were many lies and people who simply do not want to answer questions.  The list of UN-returned phone calls would be to numerous too mention.  This book detailed every meeting, every lie and the final success of a family being brought together.  It recants the frustrating times, the times of hope, the crushed hopes and the final success.

If you are thinking about adoption, are going through the process, have had a failure or success, or have anything to do with adoption you will enjoy reading about it.  You are not alone in this.  Push the right buttons and doors will open.
