Unfictions

About the Book

Unfictions is a sequence of eighty-six short prose pieces termed “units,” none exceeding four pages in length. It is not intended to be a collection of short short stories, although it can be read as such. It is not intended to be a collection of poetry, although several of the units verge on the poetic. IT IS NOT A NOVEL. Unfictions is a “nonovel” – a collection of units which may be viewed and read independently, in any order, but which when read in the sequence provided illustrate a greater story within an overarching theme. Each unit is intended to sound a note of response; when taken together in the proper sequence these notes become a piece of music – the piece of music that resonates half-audible at the moment of awakening.
