BALANCE

About the Book

Diesel pushed open the hatch atop the Space Needle and narrowed his eyes against the otherworldly light.  His right shoulder burned.  The bullet lodged in his beefy deltoid ground against his bones as he moved his arm.  Thick power cords, pulsing with magical energy, rushed down and away from the slanting roof in all directions.  Trembling with fright and anticipation, Diesel forced himself onto the roof.  He looked at the horror spreading to the horizon all around him and swallowed hard.

This is how the climactic chapter of my novel, BALANCE, begins.  In the dark future four friends must stand against an ancient evil with a modern agenda or face extinction—not only for themselves, but for the entire human race.  An epic and magical fantasy, BALANCE incorporates elements of science fiction and supernatural horror into an action filled ride that culminates in an explosive conflict against a powerful dragon atop the Seattle Space Needle.  

Diesel, Max, Riot and Juice, muscle for hire in the shadowy streets of Seattle, find themselves suddenly and unexpectedly at the nexus of a brand new world when they cross paths with Elliot Hain.  Hain, ostensibly a well to do businessman, is actually an ancient being with his roots in druidical Stonehenge.  He has a noble goal—he wants to return the Earth to its former natural grandeur—but to accomplish this he is set on exterminating mankind which he views as a pox on the planet.  What starts out as a simple protection job for a rock and roll diva escalates into a battle for the future of the Earth—and humanity.

About the Author

Lee graduated the University of Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science in 1986. Since then he has written three novels, including my first one that you are now holding in your hands. My second novel, APOCALYPSE RISING, was very nearly published by Penguin Putnum, and although it was ultimately not published, I still value the experience I had with them. Unfortunately, my agent has since retired, so I’m presently in search of new representation for my third novel, RING OF FIRE. I am also working on a fourth book, STALK.MISSYCAM.COM, a work I like to describe as a “tragic thriller.”
