About the Book

In Bloody Kisses, the reader is taken into the dark and romantic world of Anton the Vampire, a 400 year-old vampire.  Anton is different from most vampires who live only for blood, Anton is a lover who lives for both the flesh and the blood.  Anton has had many lovers over his long life, both immortal and mortal.  In this story the reader gets a glimpse of the world of immortality and all the trials and tribulations that go with it.

Anton lives in a house deep in the woods with a young vampire named Alexander that Anton himself brought to immortality.  Alexander, unlike his mentor, is cold and dark-souled.  He is constantly fighting with emotions and has a dislike of mortals and love.  They live together and venture out at night in order to feed on the blood of mortals.

Anton’s happy world is suddenly shaken up by the memory of a lost love named Velara who he hasn’t seen for several years.  Her memory and the pain surrounding it drives Anton to seek the help of Lady Bernadine, The Vampire Queen and the arms of a mortal woman.  He and Alexander, who is dealing with many demons of his own cross the ocean to Africa for her help, unknown to them that Anton’s old enemy Drago is hot on their trail.

Bernadine helps Anton to seek out Velara while trying to help Alexander with his own troubles. Anton sets out to find Velara and hopefully heal his aching heart and soul.  On the way he runs into several other colorful characters that could either help him or destroy him.

Will Anton finally find the lost love that he so desperately needs or will he destroy himself trying?

Bloody Kisses is the first in the trilogy of The Trials and Tribulations of Anton the Vampire.  The reader is taken on a journey filled with suspense, horror, love, and resolution.

Archie E. Ouglie is a young, first time writer from Northwest, Indiana. He teaches High School as well as being a writer. He lives with his fiancé and her daughter in Northwest, Indiana. This is his first book.
