About the Book

The Tavern At The Edge Of Nowhere, is a set of closely linked stories as told to the reader by the barman of a most unusual bar.  It was originally a set of five short stories published in an occasional series in STUNN and ST News magazines.  It was so well received that – a few years later – it decided to re-structure it, add new material and turn it into a proper novel.  The Tavern is all about fun.  There is all sort’s of genre’s explored and taken the mickey out of.  Some new science fiction concepts have been added and some old ones bent out of shape.  It is a true story.  Names have been changed only to protect the guilty.  Event’s have been screwed about with only to make them clearer – time travel really is awfully confusing!  In The Jawman, there is the life story of a serial killer who takes away an unusual object from the scene of his crimes (yup, you guessed it!).  Life, Death And An American Car is a twist on the traditional detective story.  The murder victim solves the crime!  There is so much, much more...

About the Author

Bryan H. Joyce is a thirty something non-smoker, teetotaller from Scotland UK with a warped sense of humour. In his time he has been a Waiter, Barman, Joiner, Cleaner, Actor, I.T Tutor and I.T Technician. He has previously been published in European magazines “STUNN”, “STENN”, “ST News”, “Disk Space” and “Square Peg Round Hole”. In his spare time, he has been known to do a bit of programming in C++, though he has never claimed to be any good at it. He likes coke and pasta and does NOT do chewing gum (he experimented with it for a few years and has since claimed to have given it up). At High School he was voted for as, “The Person Most Likely To Be Voted For In High School”. He loves his mother and his computer equally; though he is allergic to computers – they give him diarrhoea…
