About the Book

The first novel of Harry T. Eastburn, Hang Her High, can be summed up in a very few words.  It is a sturdy in sex, sadism and brutality.  From the opening sentence, it moves rapidly to the moment Johnny De Angelo pounces to solve the murder

On any case, Johnny is a raging bull.  On this one, he is a raging bull with an attitude.  You either love him or you hate him.  Piggy Walters, Ox Moran and most of the Mobile police hate him.  From Vera, sometime lover, to Ma Peg, a madam who has a fog horn voice, smokes big black cigars and drinks her whisky neat from a water glass, to a sixteen year old nympho, women are drawn to him as a piece of metal to a magnet.  Sid, a black man, whom Johnny has gone to for advise since he was a little boy, loves him like he is his own son.

Johnny is a cocky, brutal man raging through the city.  His mission is to apprehend the murderer of his partner.  He moves to that end making love and bashing skulls.

About the Author

Harry T. Eastburn: student, farmer, educator, educational consultant, attorney and corporate CEO has BA, LL.B. and a masters degree in education. As a teacher and educational consultant, he wrote over 300 articles and stories for the newspapers, education journals and seminars. In his core curriculum classes, he taught creative writing. As a father, Mr. Eastburn told stories to his children and their friends. He has now reduced some forty of these unpublished stories to writing. While some of these are “read to me” stories, a number are short stories suitable for a book on the middle and high school levels. His first novel, Hang Her High, is a fast moving study in sex, sadism and brutality. A second novel, Crawl The Island, is well under way and follows the same general pattern.
