No one deliberately sets out at birth to become a bad person. Yet one frequently ends up among so many of them. Surely there's an explanation.

Any career is built upon ambition. The life of a career criminal does not begin and end with his criminal record. It has to include his friends, his victims, his enemies and his accomplices.

Fred lived it one day, one deed at a time as the shortest distance between two points, as would an inquisitive and robust cur. Just the same as a half bright junk yard dog, he learned a small lesson featuring involuntary aversion each time he survived something that whipped him. He chose from what he knew, what options he had at hand. He found goals, and labored towards them with all the strength of the wicked. You could say it runs in the family-for he was not the only hell his mama ever raised.

About the Author

Curtis Scott Herbert is a trained artist, former Teamster, biker scum and recovering grip. A ramblin' guy born in Sudbury, Ontario and raised in Brampton, he left for OCA in 1980 and hung around Toronto until he could stand it no longer, departing for Austin, Texas in 1991 no arrests, no convictions. Surviving a marriage, a mortgage, ten years of barbeque, moviescum and bikerscum, barbacoa, carnitas y cabrito he now resides in the Adirondack woods. He reminds all patriotic Americans to visit Dealey Plaza every Forth of July.
