About the Book
Julia Clark is facing the tragic loss of her baby daughter, along with the painful issues surrounding the incidence of her ill-fated pregnancy. In the deepest of despair, she hears a baby crying for her.
Jack O'Hewdyn has suffered the darkest betrayal his active writer's brain could ever imagine. The reality is that he has been left, alone with a few hours old infant whom he has no clear clue of how to take care of competently. Set in a background of wet Irish countryside, the two disheartened adults are faced with the challenge of learning to trust. And risking their hearts for the second time.
About the Author
Laura Moore Hislop lives in Marin County, California with her husband Mike, and their three children. Laura and her orange laptop can be seen at soccer practice fields, basketball courts and by the side of the local swimming pool as her children keep up their active sports lives while Laura writes her latest creations. As a transplanted Californian originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Laura comes by her story telling characteristics naturally since " any true Southerner can make a trip to the grocery store into a fascinating saga." Her favorite stage of the writing process is the middle of the night inspirations that must be addressed immediately as the beginning plot is developing. Curiously, that is not her husbands' preferred choice at all.
