About the Author
Following her marriage to Russell Evans, an engineer with a large international company, Jane Evans moved to Singapore. Here she raised a family, bred dogs, lived in an old Colonial house with a crew of servatns, and made some wonderful life-long friends. She writes warmly of the dog who buried an ice cube, the man who burned a wasp nest off the house, and how to use a meat safe. She treasures her experiences and she attempts to recapture those days. She lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
