WHAT POETRY MEANS TO ME Poetry opened a whole new world for me, and going to college part time helped me a lot. After my creative writing class, I started writing poetry. I had to do what I had to do for college. But after that I sent in to poetry.com a poem called The Touch. I showed this poem, and some others, to the women that I work with. They loved it. This poem and eleven others are on the www.poetry.com web site. They are also in this book. There are poems for everyone in this book. Like I said, this is a whole new world for me. And I love it. There is a good chance that I will have a second book of poems out next year. It could be in the middle of the year. It all depends on how this book sells. Poetry shows creativity, it shows talent, and most of all it takes a lot of work. If you have the time, and the ambition then go for it.
