About the Book
We search for meaning in our everyday lives. Wanting order to emerge, bringing us some sense of peace. But meaning is subjective and, therefore, elusive and, even, when presented with words and their definitions meaning can change. Words can lead us down dark alleys and carry us into the light. Words driven by desperation. Words desperate, attempting to discover meaning in a meaningless world. Words desperate for some illusion of order if, only, for a short time before they are scattered to the winds of chaos, blown aimlessly along, again.
About the Author
Born in 1966 in a small Illinois town I began writing poetry in 1982 as a high school sophomore. That year I received two honorable mentions in a poetry contest and I was on my way. Attending college in the fall of 1984 I dropped out less than two years later. I returned in 1990 only to drop out again. I have worked a variety of jobs but am currently a rural mail carrier. The restlessness of my life has always been fuel for my writing. When I’m not writing I enjoy reading, listening to music and exploring the internet.
