One of the few women doctors of her time, Doris North writes stories of her fascinating patients. Her experiences with some of them extended over the entire 45 years she practiced family medicine. Her husband, Victor North, who attended medical school with her, figures prominently in her memoirs. They practiced medicine together and raised a family of three rambunctious boys whose hilarious exploits did not always seem funny at the time. The author’s memories of her busy life also include her encounter with an IRS agent and her experiences when she was called for jury duty and tried to serve.
