About the Book
“GHETTO TEMPTATIONS” is about Dana Estick, a young sister who moves from a sexual and physical abusive situation in South Carolina to New York City. Along with her best friend, Jenny Thornton, Dana meets Kenny, a player in the prostitution game. Dana and Kenny eventually become lovers. He turns her out and she winds up becoming one of his high priced street girls. She then gets involved with a tight knit drug organization, and things goes from bad to worse. Dana is confronted with betrayal, love, sex, and death as she tries to make it the city that never sleeps.
About the Author
Karl Anthony Francis was born in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to the United States as a child. He grew up in the South Bronx. He attended Queens College in New York City. Karl majored in Political Science/African Studies and minored in Sociology. Growing up, Karl had a few setbacks which led to his incarceration as a teenager. Meeting John Henrik Clark, Cornell West, Yolanda King and Al Sharpton at his former college, had a lasting impression on him. He is presently working on a sequel to Ghetto Temptations. Karl lives in New York City with his family.
