About the Book

This is a story of love and dedication to others. Teri had become an orphan when she was very young and had been placed in one facility after another. She was lucky enough to break away from the orphanage and the foster homes and met Millie, a street person with a lot of street smarts and common sense. Between the two of them they started a life for Teri. Teri ended up in a bad marriage due to the need to feel needed and also because she was so vulnerable but after she realized she didn’t have to live that way, she ended it and went on to start her life anew completely across the country. She was very lucky to have met some very good people but also some bad also slipped in and she ended up with a mystery and murder right in her own yard. In the process of unfolding the bits and pieces of the mystery, she met Luther who was a detective that proved to have gone bad due to his upbringing, and trying to protect his family. However, she was blessed with some wonderful people who were up in years and after their passing, she was left with Abby and chooses to become a mother, something that she never thought she would be. In the process she had to learn how to love and trust all over again but finally, she knew true love, compassion, contentment and the making of a meaningful life with a daughter as well as with a man.

About the Author

I was born and have lived all my life in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The keeping of journals and writing, mostly short stories, as far back as I can remember has always been a passion of mine. I have always loved to read and write and with the encouragement of my son took a big step and decided to actually publish this book and let others read it and tell me what they think. For the past twenty years, I have worked as an Administrative Assistant for different firms, raise three sons and have had numerous hobbies but have always tried to make time to write. Fiction is what I like to write best because the writer can manipulate the twists, turns and characters of the story the way they like. It is a way to enjoy and to get lost in the characters lives and surroundings even though it may not be the way it actually is in real life. So sit back, put you feet up and enjoy your time in “Touching Each Other’s Lives”.
