Dr. Herman J. Flax is a physician, practicing Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Although retired from the active practice of medicine, he still attends patients as a consultant in the PM&R Service of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He has published two previous books of poetry, “September Songs” in 1984 and “Songs of My Sixties” in 1987.
