About the Author

Clyde Holland has worked in public and private schools (teaching assistant, teacher, and administrator). A former Vice President, Calendar Chairperson of the Gaston County Historical Society, he has written several local history articles and is researching books on Holland genealogy, and the Battle of King’s Mountain. Saved since 1977, he has taught Sunday school, and operated a boy’s home and school for at-risk boys. He graduated Clover High School (Clover, SC), York Technical College (Rock Hill, SC) A. S. Business Management, Thomas E. Edison State College, Trenton, NJ, B. A. History, and teaching training at Limestone College, Gaffney, SC).
