About the Book
BENEATH A TEXAS SKY is an old-fashioned Christian romance about faith in God and how family can support each other. Laura Sweeney has been taking care of her again parents for the past two years. When they pass away, she moves to Texas to begin a new life. She is hired as housekeeper and cook at Matthew Pullman's ranch.
Matthew's brother Michael died spreading the gospel and helping the poor in Mexico. James Pullman, Matthew's father wants his remaining offspring to follow in his brother's footsteps. Nothing else will satisfy him. Matthew however, is content to serve God in his own way, working his ranch and blessing handicapped children.
Thinking Laura is the perfect employee, Matthew is shocked to learn she is harboring a secret. She is running from a man who loaned her father gambling money and expects her to pay up.
Somehow love develops between Laura and Matthew, surmounting all odds and prevailing in the end in spite of many obstacles along the way.
About the Author
